Start building your power team before you need them.

Think about the people you will need to run a successful Real Estate business and their roles on your power team. These are the people who you can leverage their time and experience to help build your business faster. The best part is that most of these team members do not require payment until after you have completed a deal. They will be paid from the profits. I would suggest printing out this sheet or copying it into a data spreadsheet. Then one-by-one, build your team by placing a name next to each team member. You may find that you already know people who can provide these services. You may also have several names for a particular position such as REALTORs or specific specialized contractors. Thats great! Just keep going until you fill the whole list. You will be well on your way to leveraging your time with your power team to get more done everyday.

We know this list is not all inclusive, but it is a great start to ramping up your business and building your team. You have to think a little out of the box here too. Yes, your contractors come in handy when you need them to do plumbing and electrical work. But do not forget, these same contractors are going from job to job for managers and owners just like you. They can be a tremendous lead as a bird dog to find you more deals, or what ever else you may be lacking.

If you already have a great working relationship with your plumber, then you have increased your value to him ten fold. He still gets to work for you, but now by finding you additional property leads, he helps himself by increasing his own market share with every new property you add into your inventory.

So there it is, Not only are you building your power team for the expertise they can bring to the table to leverage your time, but there is a second sweet spot in the deals they can bring home to your table to increase the net worth of your bottom line.
